between UGC NET and CSIR NET

is the same.
UGC NET and CSIR NET offers
the same qualification.

CSIR NET allows only science stream students whereas UGC NET welcomes all the
other stream aspirants.

UGC NET Exam is
conducted for 81 subjects. Where Paper 1 (General Aptitude) is compulsory for
all the aspirants.

to choose UGC Net exam

CSIR NET is conducted in 5 subjects, excluding the general aptitude,
which is a compulsory paper for all the appearing candidates.
The CSIR NET Exam is
conducted for the following science stream subjects -

both the exam is to determine the eligibility for lectureship and

- Exam conducting authority is same; National Testing Agency.
- Both the exams are conducted in online mode.
- Candidates are given 3 hrs to complete their paper.
- The Exam is conducted twice a year June and Dec.
- Both follow one compulsory subject as General Aptitude.
- No upper age limit for Assistant Professor.
